Working at BBC Creative alongside the lovely folk at Twin associates we were responsible for delivering an updated identity for much loved children's channel CBBC. We created a fun new expression for the channel; the Flooms. Springing to life from the BBC blocks the flooms represented the characteristics of the channels programme offering, and are the stars of the show across the identity. None more so than in a set of playful and somewhat wacky idents and blips created alongside the talented folk at Ink and Giants and SR partners.

A short film produced whilst working at Weareseventeen. “Infinite Horizon” is our attempt to visualise a single moment in time, a phenomena know as the overview effect; A cognitive shift experienced by an astronaut when viewing the earth for the first time from a cosmic perspective. A moment so profound so all encompassing and beautiful that words are simply not enough. 

Working with the super talented folk at Picnic Studio we produced this anime inspired 2D TVC to promote Lego's new Ninjago collection of creatures, characters and vehicles.

Working at Weareseventeen we were commissioned by 4Creative to design the on screen identity for All4, Channel 4's all new on demand service and successor to 4OD. Over the course of a year, in collaboration with 4Creative we created the entire brand look and feel which involved a whole raft of deliverables including over 20 pre-rolls, promo packaging, teaser spot, print and user interface elements.

In 2018 HSBC undertook a global refresh of its iconic airport advertising with the 'Together we thrive' campaign. The work rolled out across 17 airports in 9 countries and will be seen by millions of travellers passing through the busiest airports in the world.

The campaign used the famous HSBC Hexagon as a window into a thriving connected world, using both global and local scenes centred around a number of themes such as trade and education and diversity and sustainability.

I worked with the in house post production team at Saatchi & Saatchi to bring to life around 30 of the creative concepts in motion. The challenge was to stay true to the original print executions whilst making the moving elements still feel genuine. Various techniques were employed to achieve this including filming live action elements, stock footage (with a huge amount of rotoscoping and clean up) and both 2D and 3D animation.

An awareness film created for charitable organisation The Feel Good Bakery. We wanted to create a piece that simply makes people feel good as opposed to explaining the ins and outs of how TFGB works. Hopefully resulting in a more shareable piece of content that will ultimately help raise awareness.

Working with Sky Creative as Design Producer on a pan european project to rebrand Sky Movies to Sky Cinema. A long list of deliverables across print, digital and On Air. The highlight being a set of idents created with the super talented folk at The Mill.

As part of the BBC Creative team for the Pan BBC Rebrand, I was tasked with managing production of the BBC Sports on-screen presentation package aligned with the wider BBC new design and motion system. We also developed a versatile in-programme graphics system that can be used across all Sports broadcast on the BBC. During the process we worked closely with the in-house BBC Sport graphics team to smoothly integrate the system into Viz RT templates.

In 2021 I worked with Prodigious London and Tangerine Films to create launch films for the new Jaguar E- Pace XF and F-Pace vehicles. I was responsible for producing the VFX part of the project comprising fully realistic CGI renders of the interiors and exteriors of all three cars. Animation of the in car entertainment system screens and all clean up and compositing work.

Whilst working at Devilfish Creative we were appointed by Canal+ to conceive and create the identity for a new channel they were launching called Series. The channel would solely play episodic series and had a great portfolio of programming to launch with. 

The core idea for the identity was based around the theme of repetition with a slight difference to mirror the nature of the episodic Series.

After a period of R&D we developed and built the Pixelator; a hand made grid with a diffuse layer that fits over a TV screen which we used to abstractly represent the themes of the programming that would be featured on the site (Drama, Crime, Comedy etc). This was achieved by creating specific edits to be run through the pixelator and filmed in camera. The footage was then taken into after effects and manipulated to create the desired feeling. Footage captured on the day was also used to create the OSP system.

Audio was composed by the excellent Malcolm Goldie and held to the theme of repetition with a slight difference.

The BBC came to We Are Seventeen to help promote their China Season block. The ident features the classic BBC 2 logo character currently used on the channel. This time around the 2 is dressed up as a Chinese Dragon and seen clumsily dancing down a festively adorned chinatown style street. We also created a 30 second promo as part of the block.

Working with the excellent team at Low Poly Models World I worked on the collaborative effort with SOA to create a collection of streetwear wearables for release in the Metaverse platform Decentraland. Lots of prototyping and tested was involved in order to create an end product true to the original concept whilst sticking to the low poly count required for assets in order to ensure smooth gameplay on the platform. 

Whilst working at We Are Seventeen our client at BT TV commissioned us to make a series of character led stings to show before kids programming on the platform. 

Using characters featured in an ident as part of the BT TV rebrand completed earlier in the year. We conceived and animated a set of 4 playful scenarios in these short and sweet stings.

The Telegraph Group came to us to create the entire brand look for their new creative commercial arm - 'Spark'.
The primary focus was a launch film, which represents the core ethos of Spark - creativity and data coming together to create something amazing. As well as this the launch film we delivered high res print stills, a set of bespoke loop-able videos for use in the launch event space and a full set of brand guidelines.

One of many projects I worked on with BT TV whilst at Weareseventeen. We created an easter package that aimed to avoid the obvious cliche's associated with this time of year, instead focusing on the beauty of Spring time with a surprising twist.

After winning a competitive pitch at Devilfish we were appointed to rebrand Male lifestyle channel DMAX from the top down.

We created a complete OSP system, on and off air design and a set of idents shot in various locations around Berlin overt three days. Post production to create and composite the 'predator' logo onto the back plates was done in-house at Devilfish.

Pan Scandinavian Cinema and TV commercial for Viasat Film. Turned around in just a month we shot on location in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, LA, Hong Kong, London and Tallin. Edit and compositing was done in house at Devilfish by Martin Hickford. 

A series of idents for Norwegian Channel TV6. In each ident the logo builds up from elements representing either a programming genre or seasonal theme. We also delivered print elements and a kit of assets for the in-house team at Viasat who were creating the OSP.

A short created at Weareseventeen as a parody on the worlds increasing obsession with the smart phone. Written by George Alexander and designed and animated by the super talented Cesar Pelizer the film sees Mr Selfie go through his day so engrossed in his smart phone that he's oblivious to the world around him. The film has been a great success and received over 500,000 views on vimeo, been featured on a number of news and popular culture websites as well as being screened at a number of festivals around the world including Cinekids, Encounters and LSFF.

Whilst at Beautiful Creative we worked with the lovely folk at Kemistry to help launch this Romanian Film Channel. We delivered the OSP system, a series of stings and Idents along with a set of high res stills to be used in print for the launch campaign.

A corporate logo animation created for BT whilst working at We Are Seventeen. After a successful pitch we were tasked with bringing to life the BT connected world mark in motion to act as a consistent logo animation to be used across all corporate moving image communications. We created a number of deliverables including a bespoke animation to played out on the screens at the top of the BT tower.

Beautiful Creative worked along side Lambie Nairn to create the complete on screen graphics package for the Uefa 2012 football tournament. A huge set of deliverable consisting of in-match graphics, bumpers, wipes and sponsorship packaging were created.

A graphical Ident Created for Indian Romantic Comedy Channel; Romedy Now. This ident follows the same 'coming together' theme as the live action idents which went on air at the same time.

We were commissioned by the Bass Awards to create a short animation announcing their annual call for entries.
Our concept was to represent the creative process through abstract and conceptual visuals. We used live action elements to create some lovely moving textures which we combined with some crisp 3D and bespoke typography to make up the final piece.

Dixon Baxi enlisted Beautiful Creative to help them develop and produce the OSP for the Re-brand of UKTV entertainment channel Watch. Based on the theme of the unexpected, we created the promo packaging and in-vision elements along with a set of distinctive break bumpers.

We Are Seventeen created a set of abstract visuals for the Bank of America to be played on the Time Square Jumbo-tron. After a year the positioning of these spots was altered which meant we needed to reversion all of the content to fit onto a new L shaped screen. I project managed the process of re-purposing and re-delivering each individual movie.

Working with AMV we created a graphics package for footlocker TV consisting of themed idents, show openers and closers.
